Gather Greene Fall Wedding
Cassie & Max wanted a fall wedding without preconceptions or demands of what "fall" should look like, an inimitable state of mind when it comes to wedding planning! Their directions were just to take inspiration from the colors and textures surrounding Gather Green on the late October weekend of their wedding.
As we worked together, I also learned what other colors they would be incorporating throughout their wedding day — deep reds and golds in the velvet bridesmaid dresses, copper for the napkins and the men's ties, and slate grey plates with a matte finish.
All together, it inspired us to lean heavily into muted yellows, reds, and neutrals. We used mahogany splendor hibiscus, asters, and goldenrods that had gone to seed to create an arch that looks almost as if it is part of the woods behind it. We repeated these materials and added in fall foliage on their back wall installation. And for their centerpieces, we added dahlias (golden scepter, polka, and alpen cherub), the last of the Persian carpet zinnias, and lots shimmer grass for that wild touch that looks just like the open field Gather Greene gazes upon.
